Long exposure taken at night from the summit of mount Lagazuoi (2.778 m), Dolomites.

Here you can see Cima del Lago and Cima Scotoni (Fanes group) surrounded by a thick blanket of clouds partially illuminated by the moon.

During the First World War this area has been scene of many fighting between Italian and Austro-Hungary troops.
It's still plenty of galleries, tunnels, artificial caves, which testify how has been hard the life of the soldiers.
Also with this knowledge, the whole area at night acquires a special atmosphere.
