Shot taken during the blue hour, in the small square in front of the lighted windows of the alpine refuge Cà d'Asti (2.854 m), mount Rocciamelone SSW crest, Susa valley, Italy.

Waiting time for dinner, my dear friend is sitting on the bench, admiring the classic bank of clouds over the valley below and the very last faint light still reverberating from the west.
Frontally you can see the massive presence of the Orsiera Rocciavrè Natural Park, which is a wide mountain range in the Cottian Alps.

Are we aware of the most significant moments of our lives?
Generally, only after, when it's elapsed some time, we have the ability to fully focus about the objective quality of what we have lived. Collecting so our memories.
In my opinion, one of the great benefits of the mountain (others might prefer the sea or some other place) is the ability to get real-time access to the lived instant. Thoughts become free and the unexpected happens: the exact perception of the lived moment.

I do firmly believe that the act of being in the mountains it's all about what we, humans, call "poetry"... something much more important of the spectacular aspects, exterior, which are often associated with these places.
