This is the Italian face of the world famous Matterhorn, mirroring at night in the lovely Blue Lake (Lake Layet), Breuil-Cervinia.
Given the proximity of the town, a long exposure at night here turns into a kaleidoscope of colors ... something very picturesque. The starry sky was visible because the moon had not yet risen.
As we all know, this is the south face of the mountain, so the most interesting part of the Milky Way was pointing in the opposite direction, I'll will post a photo.
The complete mapping of this unique mountain, from all faces, in all possible conditions of light, and in all seasons, will keep busy my next photograhic efforts! This mountain is a masterpiece of nature.
